Penetration Tester Manager

The Penetration Tester Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of penetration testers to conduct security assessments and identify vulnerabilities in the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing penetration testing activities, ensuring the security of critical systems and data.

What will you do?

As a Penetration Tester Manager, you are responsible for:

  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of penetration testers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the team you’re responsible for is meeting business targets

2. Penetration Testing:

  • Plan and execute penetration tests on various IT assets, including networks, applications, and systems.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.

 3. Project Management:

  • Coordinate and prioritize penetration testing projects based on risk and business impact.
  • Develop project plans, set timelines, and allocate resources effectively.

 4. Client Interaction:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand their security requirements.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and understandable manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create and present proposals to clients based on the needs of the clients

 5. Tool and Methodology Development:

  • Challenge the status quo on how we perform penetration testing and actively lead changes within the organization to strategically implement changes
  • Evaluate and implement new penetration testing tools and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of the team.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized testing procedures.

 6. Documentation:

  • Create comprehensive and clear reports detailing vulnerabilities, risks, and recommended remediation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing activities, methodologies, and results..

Requirements

  • Technical proficiency in penetration testing tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
